Arts in Harmony, 16th annual national juried exhibition

Arts in Harmony, a national juried exhibition mounted annually by the Elk River Area Arts Alliance and hosted at the Sherburne County Government Center just west of downtown Elk River, MN. Elk River is located on the Mississippi River about thirty miles northwest of downtown Minneapolis.

Two jurors selected work in a variety of media for this year's sixteenth annual show. Juror Lyndel King is the Director and Chief Curator at the Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN. The Weisman Art Museum, located on campus in a brick and steel building designed by Frank Gehry, is currently undergoing a major expansion. Juror Barbara Schulz is an Associate Professor at the Minnesota College of Art & Design (MCAD) in Minneapolis, MN.

Thrivent Traveling Show

About twenty percent of the artwork exhibited at the Arts in Harmony show is selected for the Thrivent Traveling Show. Selections are made from the exhibition by a panel appointed by the Arts in Harmony show chairman. The Thrivent Traveling Show selections — which includes Dave's work — will hang at the Thrivent for Lutherans downtown Minneapolis office building during the month of April. The show is open to the public during normal business hours.
