The Ann Metzger Memorial National All Media Exhibit

The Ann Metzger Memorial National All Media Exhibit is mounted by the St. Louis Artists' Guild in their historic 1920's mansion in Oak Knoll Park in Clayton, MO, a suburb of St. Louis. Ann Metzger was a past President of and very active in the St. Louis Artists' Guild. As an artist, she specialized in air brush techniques and worked in the 60's venue of abstract, nontraditional images. She especially enjoyed silkscreen techniques and any kind of printmaking, photography and graphics.

Juror Sabina Ott has exhibited widely in both museum and gallery venues. Her work has been included in international exhibitions such as the first Auckland Triennial in Auckland, New Zealand, the Austrailian Contemporary Arts Center in Melbourne, Austrailia, the Cite International in Paris, France as well as the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, the Contemporary Art Museum in St. Louis, Missouri and the Cleveland Center for Contemporary Art, Cleveland, Ohio.

She has received a National Endowment for the Arts Individual Artists Grant in 1990 and a Howard Foundation Grant from Brown University for research combining digital media and paintings in 2001, as well as a series of residencies. Her work is in the collection of the Corcoran Museum of American Art, Washington DC; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles, California; the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, New York; The Saint Louis Art Museum, St. Louis, Missouri; the University Art Museum, University of California, Berkeley, California; and the Orange County Art Museum of Art, Newport, California among others.

She has taught consistently throughout her career at such institutions as Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California (Graduate Faculty / 1985-1996) and was Director of Graduate Studies and Associate Professor at Washington University, School of Art in St. Louis, Missouri (1996-2001). She served as the Director of Graduate Programs and Faculty at the San Francisco Art Institute in San Francisco, California (2001-2004), and Chair of the Art + Design Department at Columbia College, Chicago, Illinois (2005 - 2007). She is now a Professor of Fine Art at Columbia College, Chicago, Illinois.
