Digital Works, a national juried competition, encourages participation by emerging and established artist and seeks to showcase contemporary works of art created through digital processes that reflect innovative use of media, technical excellence, and personal vision.
Juror Marisa Olson is an artist, curator and media theorist. Her critiquest of contemporary art and digital visual culture have extended to writing for Flash Art, Art Review, Afterimage, Planet, and Art on Paper, and to curating exhibtions at the Guggenheim, SFMOMA, White Columns, Artists Space, SF Camerawork, and Rhizome. Her work has recently been presented by the Whitney Museum of American Art, Center Pompidou-Paris, New Museum of Contemporary Art, 52nd Biennale di Venezia, National Museum of Contemporary Art (Greece), the British Film Institute, the Berkeley Art Museum/Pacific Film Archive, and the Sundance Film Festival.
